Each month, the Black Hawk will be collecting items for various local community organization. Bring an item on the list and save money on your fishing trip.

We are always looking for local organizations who we can partner with. We can collect items for your organization, arrange a fund-raiser trip, or donate a gift certificate for your event. Email Heather to get started!

Additionally, each month we collect something special for a local organization.
May 2013
In May, we'll be collecting household cleaning supplies- laundry detergent, kitchen soap, sponges, etc- to be distributed through MASH .
June 2013
June 2013 is SOCK MONTH! We've been told that one of the things local shelters need the most is socks for their residents. So, throughout June, we'll collect socks to distribute to local shelters and organizations. We especially need socks for adult men and women, although we'll take socks for kids too!
July 2012
Believe it or not, it's almost time for Back to School! In July, we'll collect school supplies to be distributed to local children through Safe Futures (formally the Women's Center of SE CT). Were collecting in July this year so the supplies can be distributed before the kids start school in August.
We will also be accepting toys for our "Christmas in July" program. All toys will be distributed to local children during the holiday season. Help make a child's holiday brighter by donating a new, unwrapped toy when you come fish with us!
August 2013
It's our birthday! In celebration of our "birthday" with the boat, we'll be collecting party supplies to be used to help provide birthday parties for kids at Waterford Country School. They're asking for wrapping paper, tape, cake mix, party favors to help give kids a way to celebrate!
September 2013
In September, we'll be collecting animal supplies- treats, dog and cat food, toys, and gently used blankets or towels. Help Oscar, Flounder, and the rest of our 4 legged crew members help their friends!
October 2013
In October, we'll be collecting art supplies- markers, paper, crayons, etc. to be used at local organizations that run support groups for children dealing with the loss of a loved one (Hospice and The Cove). Thanks for your support!
