Black Hawk II - Party Boat Fishing at its Finest
The Black Hawk is proud to be a part of the local community.

We believe in making communities and families stronger- and we think that by bringing people together, getting them outside and fishing- we're helping to do just that.

Help the local community and save money on your fishing trip at the same time!

Each month, the Black Hawk will be collecting items for various local community organization.  Bring an item on the list and save money on your fishing trip.

2011 Community Programs

We are always looking for local organizations who we can partner with.  We can collect items for your organization, arrange a fund-raiser trip, or donate a gift certificate for your event. Email Heather to get started!

Keep reading below to see how you can save money on your trip.  Bring something different each month or participate in one of our "Color Days".

October 2011
On October 16 and October 23, wear pink to support breast cancer research.  For everyone who wears pink on the boat (something significant, like a shirt, pants or jacket- hats/pins/scarves don't count!) and save $10.00 off your trip!  A portion of the ticket sales from each person who wears pink will be donated to the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation, which works to fund breast cancer research.

Also in October, we will be collecting canned goods (for Care & Share in East Lyme), household cleaning supplies (for MASH), and new baby/toddler items (pacifiers, sippy cups, new infant clothes, etc) for local families (to be distributed through social service organizations).

September 2011

In September, we will be collecting art supplies for the Expressive Arts program run by Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut.  This program is for children and teens ages 5-17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  They need all kinds of art supplies- fabric, ribbon, markers, clay, shoe boxes, tissue paper, glue, posterboard- anything!

Black Hawk + The Community Distributing Donations to Womens

June 2011
We collected non-perishable food items for the Gemma E MoranFood Bank and household supplies (sponges, dish soap, cleaning supplies (Windex, 409,etc), dish towels, etc) for the MASH shelter.

July 20101Many of you have met Oscar, Heather's rescue dog.  He came from Texas via Labs4Rescue, so Heather is very fond of this organization.  So, in July, we'll be collecting small dog related items- dog toys, treats, collars, etc.  Please help us help the animals!
We will also be accepting toys for our "Christmas in July" program.  All toys will be distributed to local children during the holiday season.  Help make a child's holiday brighter by donating a new, unwrapped toy when you come fish with us!

August 2011
On August 1, wear YELLOW on the boat (something significant, like a shirt, pants or jacket- hats/pins/scarves don't count!) and save $10.00 off your trip!  A portion of the ticket sales from each person who wears yellow will be donated to Alex's Lemonade Stand, which works to fund pediatric cancer research.

All through August, we will once again be collecting school supplies for local children.  Please bring notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, etc. for local school children.

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY!
