Black Hawk II - Party Boat Fishing at its Finest
The Black Hawk is proud to be a part of the local community.

We believe in making communities and families stronger- and we think that by bringing people together, getting them outside and fishing- we're helping to do just that.

Help the local community and save money on your fishing trip at the same time!

Each month, the Black Hawk will be collecting items for various local community organization.  Bring an item on the list and save money on your fishing trip.

2010 Community Programs

We are always looking for local organizations who we can partner with.  We can collect items for your organization, arrange a fund-raiser trip, or donate a gift certificate for your event. Email Heather to get started!

June 2010
We will continue to accept non-perishable food items for the Gemma E MoranFood Bank.

July 2010
We got a wonderful email from 11 year old Valerie, who volunteers with the Friends of Berlin Animal Control.  She just wrote an essay at school and won $500 to help her favorite charity.  Then, she heard about our wonderful customers, and how much they love to help, and wrote to us asking if we could help her collect items for the cats and dogs in the Berlin Animal Shelter.  How could we resist?  So, in July, we'll be collecting small animal related items- dog & cat toys, treats, etc.  Please help us help Valerie!
We will also be accepting toys for our "Christmas in July" program.  All toys will be distributed to local children during the holiday season.  Help make a child's holiday brighter by donating a new, unwrapped toy when you come fish with us!

August 2010

In August, we will once again be collecting school supplies for local children.  Please bring notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, etc. for local school children.

September 2010

In September, we will be collecting art supplies for the Expressive Arts program run by Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut.  This program is for children and teens ages 5-17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one.  They need all kinds of art supplies- fabric, ribbon, markers, clay, shoe boxes, tissue paper, glue, posterboard- anything!

THANK YOU FOR HELPING US SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY!
